Piper, how difficult was it to write this book? What challenges did you encounter?
I struggled in the beginning because I tried to write from a different POV. It was uncomfortable and I realized very quickly it wasn’t working for me. The more I heard Diesel’s voice, the easier it got. This story is a labor of love that has spanned the years. I’ve had the concept of Eden in my head since I was a teenager. I would escape to Eden when Calculus was just a little too heavy for me! I also had this nagging feeling that I needed to tie in some of the Seven Deadly Sins. I don’t know why, but I’m fascinated by them! More pieces clicked into place and I was off and running. The only real challenge I encounter now is time. I need more of it! Until we can have more hours in a day, I am so grateful for technological advances. I ‘write’ with my phone all the time.
