Leagh's Review: Animal Magnetism by Jill Shalvis

Book One in Animal Magnetism

Co-owner of the town’s only kennel, Lilah Young has lived in Sunshine, Idaho, all her life. Pilot-for-hire Brady Miller is just passing through. But he soon has Lilah abandoning her instincts and giving in to a primal desire.

It’s Brady’s nature to resist being tied down, but there’s something about Lilah and her menagerie that keeps him coming back for more.

If you like books that have you laughing one minute and going "awwwwww" the next, this is the book for you. The commentary had me laughing out loud. Lilah and Brody are an amazing couple with a real connection. The story involving the animals is both hilarious and adorable. Lilah is a strong heroine who is determined to follow through on her word to keep things casual and doesn't turn into a whiny baby. She loved junk food and swears way too much. She is a very compassionate person who basically loves all living things. Brody is the complete opposite...he doesn't take up roots anywhere, doesn't form attachments to anyone, and is serious to the bone. The two of them together are the perfect balance and makes for a very cute and charming story. Definitely a recommended read!!!!

  1. I agree wholeheartedly that it was a charming story. I still have a picture in my mind of Lilah at the end of the book crying with her sunglasses on crooked trying to hold it together. Love this series.

  2. I've had these books for a while now I just haven't read them yet. I love books that have me laughing out loud. Thanks!

  3. Ooh, this sounds really great! I can totally see why you enjoyed it. I might try and get my hands on a copy.
